1. Representation
-UDL recommends offering information in more than one format. 
-For example, textbooks are a primarily visual, but  paired alongside audio, video or other resources allows students to have a much more hands on approach  to their learning. 


2.Action and Expression
-Students should be encouraged to interact with given resources or where possible create their own. 
-Giving students options as to how they can represent their understanding through various media. 
-Written Test vs Oral Presentation. 


3.Engagement
-UDL encourages teachers to find ways to motivate students.
