She is my mother, so she is easy to contact. Her life story is rich and interesting. More importantly, I believe she’s done wonderful things in her life and watching the way she takes on life is inspiring, and I hope that others can see what a pillar my mother is. 
We’ve arranged to talk on 2/01/2019, 2/3/2019, and 2/5/2019 at 6:00pm. We’ve decided to do two interviews at my parent’s house, one at a Starbucks nearby. 
The interview will be recorded with a camera in order to allow me ample time for a full review of attire, behavior, and gestures. This will allow me to make a full and complete analysis. 
I will find images that correlate to the topics at hand by searching through the collection of photos we’ve amassed as a family. 
Interview questions: 
  1. What were your aspirations and dreams growing up? 
  2. Have you achieved those dreams and if not, what are the steps you’re taking towards them? 
  3. How long have you been teaching? 
  4. What drove you to go back to school and get your master's in teaching? 
  5. Why choose special education in particular? 
  6. Do you believe working as a teacher has helped you grow as a person? 
  7. How do you feel about the contributions you’ve made to the community and can you talk about them? 
  8. What do you believe has been the greatest achievement in your lifetime to date? 
  9. Can you tell me what the greatest obstacle you’ve overcome has been? 
  10. What do you hope to achieve in the future? 
 
Consent to take part in research  I……………………………………… voluntarily agree to participate in this interview.  I understand that even if I agree to participate now, I can withdraw at any time or refuse to answer any question without any consequences of any kind.  I understand that I can withdraw permission to use data from my interview within two weeks after the interview, in which case the material will be deleted.  I have had the purpose and nature of the study explained to me in writing and I have had the opportunity to ask questions about the study.  I understand that participation involves…disclosing personal information which is subject to your review.  I understand that I will not benefit directly from participating in this research.  I agree to my interview being audio-recorded.  I understand that all information I provide for this study will be not be treated confidentially.  I understand that if I inform the researcher that myself or someone else is at risk of harm they may have to report this to the relevant authorities - they will discuss this with me first but may be required to report with or without my permission.  I understand that signed consent forms and original audio recordings will be retained in filing at the Othman residence.  I understand that under freedom of information legalisation I am entitled to access the information I have provided at any time while it is in storage as specified above.  I understand that I am free to contact any of the people involved in the research to seek further clarification and information.
