I personally feel that she is very insensitive to others and should also show more respect to others including different religion or races. She also has the inability to think before she acts, posting such a major thing against such a big community is really severe and when doing things like this, she should have thought twice or thrice first before even posting it.

Amy Cheong was a woman whom had posted racist remarks against the Malay community and their customs on Facebook.

She had only intended for her online friends to see. However, it had gotten out of hand and her Facebook post was spread throughout the net.

Netizens were shocked to hear of her racist comments. Some refused to give her no quarter, demanding her to be sacked. Others forgave her, as long as she did not commit the same offense again.

We think that those whom use the net are will learn that it is important to watch what you post online as you never know whether it will virally spread.

1) She said that she was annoyed and irritated by the malay weddings hosted at void decks. She felt that they should do it in a hotel or somewhere else.

2) It got circulated beyond the original group of audience as they thought that it was worth sharing and reposted it.

3) The netizens felt really disappointed and angry by her actions. They reacted in this manner as they felt that as citizens of Singapore, we should be a multi-racial society and not discriminate against others.

4) Her relatives and her boss. Respectively, her boss will be furious at what is done and would fire her immediately (to avoid gossip from the crowd). Her relatives would feel ashamed and embarrassed as she has disgraced the family name.
