In this picture you can see the aspect,  by how the audience is recording this moment on their phones and cameras and therefor allowing that moment to live on.

We want to try to know everything there is to know about what can't be completely known"(Every song Ever;114). In this sense, Ratliff encapsulates how the concept of endless inventory is one of wanting/seeking meaning in an artist and therefore as a result ending up with a collection of the artist as a way to make the artist's music and experiences have a life of their own. This concept, however, does have restrictions, for example, Ratliff in this chapter reminds the reader of how artists like Mariah Carey and Marc Anthony don't necessarily fit into this concept due to the nature of how their music is produced, opting for a more individual-based release with no connection to any of their previous songs compared to such artist like the grateful dead who's songs are interconnected. In this picture we see this aspect that Ratliff covers many times, which is this aspect of collecting but not just music, everything, from shirts to posters, and so forth in an attempt to not only show their admiration for the artist but as well as an attempt to give life to their work .
