if im being honest, i don't have in mind what political party in Indonesia that meet my expectation, but sometimes for me good or not a Political party is can be defined by how the president works, since 2009, our president, Mr. Joko Widodo is working tirestly to build Indonesia, to be ready for the future, Mr. Joko Widodo is coming from PDI-P, so what political party that meet my expectation is PDI-P, why? this party already success in terms of having a president that capable enough to ruled the country, we can saw so many of achievements got by Mr. Joko Widodo, from the development of public transportation, public infrastucture, economy, socio-culture, and many more, although there also many of criticism, hates, problems on his presidency, but i think its something normal for every president cause we can make all of the people like someone right?, so in conclusion, i think PDI-P is Political party that meet my expectation by far.

I still can't decide, there are several criteria for parties that I want to support but none of them have fully met those criteria. However, there are already several parties that have entered my watchlist.

I'm looking for a party that cares and has a voice for environmental protection, equality, and has a program that makes doing business easier. I don't care whether the party is based on nationalism or religion, the important thing is that it fulfills my 3 criteria.

From the side of the government, it has shortcomings such as the withdrawal of democracy (the formation of a threeshold president, the monopoly of the Hanura party in the DPD, etc.), the unclear production of the Asemka national car, issues of intolerance and human rights, which are the same as the previous government or are getting worse (rise of radicalism, rejection of ulama, cases of sealing 3 churches in Jambi, the Tolikara case, the bombing of 3 churches in Surabaya, the blasphemy case of Ahok and Meliana), economic inequality, unclear mental revolution programs and Nawacita and the lack of a strong government role in dealing with existing opposition and demonstrations so that the current government seems to be driven by the opposition and an Islamist agenda carried by one side. Which led to the appointment of Maaruf Amin as vice president from camp number 1 which actually had nothing special apart from being a pragmatic reason and a shield for the government to face the radicalism movement in Indonesia as a prominent cleric figure (Or maybe so that the radicalism movement is reduced and the minority is more secure).

The opposition side also doesn’t offer a program that is better than the government program and the groups and parties that carry it are the ex-dictator Suharto group, a radical organization that supports anything to overthrow the government other than using jargon and hate speech such as PKI, ASING-ASENG, HOAKS without provide a clear and detailed statement of what is meant. Most of the cynics and artisans complain over trivial matters. Too many blunders or slip of tongue. I am pessimistic that they can be elected by the Hoax case, the coalition's unity is increasingly fractured (PKS with GARBI, PKS only campaigns for Sandiaga Uno, some PAN cadres do not support Prabowo in the regions for fear of losing their votes to Gerindra, Democrats who support half-heartedly because AHY does not carried out, several opposition side and opposition cadres began to support the government, and the lack of media that could carry their message) compared to the increasingly solid and larger government camp and the presence of media supporting the government.

In fact, I haven't made a choice for the 2024 election because whatever the choice is, it's the same for me. If I finally had to choose, it would be with a heavy heart that I chose PDI-P or the party that carries Joko Widodo. The principle is to choose lesser evil and positivity, although I am disappointed with the existing situation, at least the government has achievements such as progress in Papua (trans-Papua roads, fuel prices that are FINALLY the same as in Java), progress on borders between countries, construction of many new airports, good things outside of Java, the establishment of 10 new Bali, the increasing number of middle class in Indonesia, the success of the government in attracting large investment figures from abroad and the successful implementation of ASIAN GAMES tho

In conclusion if there are no significant events or the opposition does not offer a better program than the current government.

I think for now the condition of political parties is not as I expected, Indonesia has many political parties that should be managed well together, where each of them should be able to have the right representation in parliament. but the reality is, there are only a few candidates from the many political parties that can control the parliament. Besides that, there are also political parties that have enormous power in the government that triggers oligarchic actions, or nepotism.

Political parties in Indonesia today, are not in line with what I imagined. I want competitive competition by political parties in every political contestation, but what happens is that the strength and glory of each political party is still far different from one another. Some political parties seem to easily win the contestation and get a lot of votes because they do have a large base. This makes political contestation less interesting for me.

And I think the party that best fits my view is Gerindra. because this party has a very good mission for the sustainability of politics in Indonesia. Gerindra has ambitions to seize constitutional power to create a strong and clean layer of leadership at every level of government, which in my opinion the current government is far from clean.

All the political parties we have, i don’t see any one being consistent about their visions. The politics of the parties here are still unstable because the real main goal is to gain position or power. While ideology itself more often seems to be a mere mass puller but can’t be practiced to a point of reality. Not to mention, many political parties that sell religion ideology as a political attraction. And also, for me, if one day there’s a person who’s nominated and he/she has a potential to make changes, this will not change anything because still, this person has to following the agenda of the interests of the party he joined. PP that (kinda) meets my expectation are Demokrat. I love how they are walk out at sidang RUU Cipta Kerja, in my eyes they seems siding with us, a general citizens and they show empathy within the right place and time. The leader or Demokrat AHY also stated that RUU Cipta Kerja is a degredation and shouldnt be discussed in the first place. The feeling of having powerful people's support is wholesome. And thats why I see Democrat as a ideal PP for now (and hopefully, on). Ah, and i love to seeing our former president, SBY enjoying his retirement day by painting. What a goals!

In my opinion, there is no party that really matches my expectations, because politics is actually dynamic and there are various interests behind political parties. but the closest thing to my hope is demokrat, because I like their faction in the legislature in rejecting bills that are considered to be detrimental to society, then the party is led by young people and so on.
