Question 1

Investment in a good SCM system allow for better future in logistic management because it  can achieves more accurate information, along with the ability to carry out better sales forecasting. Besides that,  the other benefits include building stronger partnerships supplier and networks, balancing out supply and demand, improving business plans and working strategies, predicting transportation requirements, planning daily operations of the company, creating streamlined inventory management and removing irrelevant elements. It is important to understand, identify and implement each stage with careful consideration.

Question 2
Proton car distribution system used the system of shipping to export and import the car from the middleman to customer. The middleman called agent that consisting of wholesalers, retailers and so on until the car reach the end users. But, Proton car distribution system distributed through a middleman and shipping takes a long time by a company to its customers acquire the Proton car agency.
As part of its efforts to create a lean supply chain, Ford utilized Six Sigma processes by teaming with Penske Logistics to streamline and improve supply chain operations. The pros of using this distribution system Ford able to distribute their products by using trucks at 95% capacity when they carry shipments to and from Ford’s ODCs and plant inventory has been reduced by 15%.

Question 3
Proton is not used six sigma in plant operation because of the Proton has its own characteristics, namely the characteristics of the Proton output madel was to be integrated with lotus ride and handling characteristics during comfort and precise control that triggered the unit’s performance and a satisfying quality.
For example, Mode Preve, Suprima S and Iriz are equipped with safety technology, antilock breaking (EBS), electronic breakeforce distribution (EBD), brake assistant (BA) and electronic stability control (ESC).
In the other words, the quality and performance of Proton is comparable than the  imported cars.
