Rats
First of all, I want to talk about rats, which have become very popular as pets. I think they are not recommended for homes with small children, because, among other things, small children tend to have food on their hands, so rats can bite their fingers thinking they are food.
Snakes
I wouldn't recommend snakes either. In this sense, it is important to bear in mind that the children in the house may see these animals as toys, but snakes will not see them in the same way and will be able to fight back.
Tarantulas
Tarantulas are not usually very popular with children. Many of them may be afraid of them and the insects needed to feed them. 
There are a lot of animals that in my opinion don't make good pets and most of them are wild, that's why we shouldn't try to domesticate them because, in the end, it won't be their fault if they hurt us because that's their nature, we have to understand the difference between animals that can be petted and those that can't be petted.
The best pets are:
Dogs. Dogs are usually intelligent, obedient and very active. They are also very playful and children love them. They are also very loyal and devoted and will become protectors of you and your children. Cats. These felines generally don't grow very big and are easy to live with almost anywhere, they are very cheap to keep. They are intelligent, solitary and have a great personality, making them a good pet alternative. Some are very affectionate and loyal. Birds. Depending on the type of bird, they can be easy to care for. They are also affectionate and playful. Hamsters. They make very good pets and are loving and devoted. I want to talk about hedgehogs, they are animals of little and much care at the same time, they sleep during the day and wake up 8 or 9 at night, this means that you do not have to worry about them during the day while you do your things, but If you decide to have one, you should be careful with children as they can bother and stress the animal, you should also keep it in a warm place because they are sensitive to cold.
