Frederick Douglas was an African American slave who strongly advocated the abolishment of slavery.
One of the most influential ways he expressed this was that he wrote a book, Narrative Life Of Frederick Douglass which he wrote in the year of 1845. This book is stands out from all other books because he showed other people his position to end slavery clearly.

By reading this book, one can see what slavery was like for Douglass by viewing his personal experiences and by the language he used to express his ideas.
