My grandparents started this tradition many years ago. Every December 31st, we go to their house. We cook delicious food together, like pies and salads, and we decorate the house with lights and balloons. At night, we gather around a bonfire in the backyard. We sing songs, laugh, and share stories about the past year. Before midnight, we make New Year's resolutions, where each person says their hopes and goals for the new year. This tradition is very important to us because it brings our family closer and makes us feel happy. I love this time because it reminds me how much my family loves and supports me.
