What is a hero to you? A hero to me is someone who is there for everybody even through there struggles. In the book "The outsiders" Pony-boy, Johnny, and Dally all had a hard life because they were greasers but they there for each other through ups and downs. The greasers are always there to help each other especially with the socs always trying to fight them so they can get in trouble with the cops. The greasers always get blamed for everything but sometime they really aren’t the bad guy sometime they are the hero.

Pony-boy to me is a hero he saved the kids from the church risking his life for the kids. Pony-boy was there for Johnny even thought he had his own problems to handle. He stayed with Johnny in the church even though he didn't have to. He helped Johnny hide from the cops and risked his chance of getting in trouble. Pony-boy was also there for cherry when she needed to talk because Bob her boyfriends all he wanted to do was drink.

Johnny is hero he stood up for cherry and her friend when his friend Dallas was rude to them. Johnny doesn't say much so that was a big step for him. Johnny always helped his friends even though he needed help his self. His parents abused him and the only person there was dally. He also stood up to Bob for Pony-boy and accidentally killed him. He also saved all the kids from the church when it was on fire

Dally was a hero to he was always there for Johnny. He tired to help Johnny when his parents abused him. Dally helped him get out of the church when it was on fire. when Pony-boy and Johnny were hiding he brought them stuff. he also lied to the cop so they could stop hiding. Dally loved Johnny so much and only cared about him he pulled his gun out like he was going to shoot the cops so they would kill him.

If somebody is there for you even thought they are going through a rough time to you should call them your hero. And if you have been there for someone through your think and thin like Johnny they you are a hero. A hero is not superman or batman they didn't have trouble in their life. Hero make mistakes to just like Johnny did.
