<title>I believe health is not simply being free of health conditions, but being in a state of physical and mental well-being. Just because one is &quot;skinny&quot; does not mean they are &quot;healthy.&quot; For me, to be a &quot;healthy&quot; individual one must pay attention to their diet and get the recommended amount of exercise daily along with some higher intensity work outs through the week. One must also get adequate sleep. One must be involved in the community. To keep a check on health, one must be proactive and go to their regular or annual checkups. Another thing essential to health in my personal opinion is your personal leisure time.</title>

<title>A person is ore than simply a mass of matter. A person has feelings and needs which must be met and respected. As nurses who work up close and personal with people, we must be respectful of a person as to what they need and their feelings and beliefs. Working in retail pharmacy has taught me a lot about people. Many people are disrespectful and inconsiderate of another human being. I think a class should be required in school on people skills. That raises a question, can you teach someone how to care about another person? That is something you are supposed to learn early on in life, Everyone is a person, we are all human and are certainly not perfect. I understand people are grumpy because they are sick or having a bad day, or going through a stressful situation. I do not believe that is an excuse to treat another person disrespectfully because everyone is a person and are probably experiencing similar things. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Be respectful of what others may be experiencing. </title>

<title>The environment is essential to our well-being as a species. I think that humans like to think we rule the world and with science and technology we can defy mother nature. I believe that if mother nature goes down, so do we because without the resources that are provided to us by mother nature, we could not survive. So we need to start taking better care of our environment because we are having a large negative effect on it. The power of mother nature can be seen by simply looking at an abandoned building or area. It eventually becomes over grown with vegetation. I alsobelieve that sunshine and fresh air, and a clean and sanitary living situation is truly beneficial to our health. A healthy environment physically as well as socially (meaning at home and with friends) is also essential to our well-being. </title>

<title>When one thinks of a nurse, they might think of someone who changes bed sheets, administers medication, doing for the patient what they cannot do for themselves. While this is true, nursing is much more than simply that. It is knowledge of biological and physiological systems, compassion for people and our environment. We must be able to work as a team with other healthcare professionals to benefit the patient. We must have faith in our knowledge and abilities and continue to further our education so that we stay up to date with our changing world. Not only do these things I listed benefit the patient, they benefit the nurse to</title>
