To be able to understand the full spectrum of work in AST, in order to be a true advocate of PD. If we are just working on our branch's work, we will not be able to break out of the bubble.

Discussions with our ROs should be very specific to what our aspirations are. We must know the end goal in mind.

Discussions about CEP should be open, so that both job holder and RO know how to progress.

1) Communication

Finding a connection between the work that we do in HQ and the work we do in school so that we can communicate them clearly during interviews.
Effective communication that will help us to build relationships with a diverse group of people.

2) Project developmental skills

develop a software in school (planning and negotiating)

3) Learning experiences from different work pieces so that we are aware of what other people are doing. Creating this awareness allows us to implement what is good for students.

Career roadmap will be helpful to chart our growth when we communicate with our ROs.
Vantage points gleaned from dialogues with Top Management expose us to ways of seeing beyond our immediate work environment. It helps us to see a new vision of what our career path may become.

To be given choices that suit the priorities of our stage in life. E.g., wanting to remain as a classroom teacher should not be seen as a non-example of career development because that could be the best option for an officer at that particular phase of his/her life.
