         <description><![CDATA[<div> If you were french you were also catholic, these applying to the majority of the population, specially the monarchy and rich people. France's lack of religious toleration affected the minorities which believed in another religión. Voltaire's ideas influence each time more people and they started questioning the liberty that meant  being part of the Catholic Church. Each time a greater portion of the society nt including the rich people and the clerges, nuns and priests were protesting against this.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The French society was divided into <strong>rigid social clases</strong>: <br><mark>The privileged</mark> (nobles, feudal lords and the higher clergy), and <mark> the unprivileged </mark> (peasants, tenants, labourers, artisans, small traders and shopkeepers)<br>This division marked a lot of differences, and this led to the outbreak of the revolution. <br>  The French revolution destroyed the social discriminative class system in France and declared equality for all. The revolution came up with the equality and career open to talents, i.e., appointment and promotion was to based on talents and ability. So they tried by all of their means to keep these ideas and people from raising.          <description><![CDATA[<div>They <strong>exploited the common people in various ways</strong>. The higher clergy lived in the midst of scandalous luxury and extravagance. The common people had a strong hatred towards the higher clergy. On the other hand, the lower clergy served the people in true sense of the term and they lived a very miserable life.<br>The revolution led to the declaration of rights of man and citizens. The constitutional assembly / parliament came out with the document of human rights. It granted political liberty, like freedom of speech, press, association, worship and ownership of property. Voltaire thought that everyone needed their own voice(freedom of speech), and that Church and State should be separate entities. Jean Jacques Rousseau thought that people were naturally peaceful and orderly, and that the government should have a social contract with the citizens. <br> Effects<br><br></div><ul><li>Revolutionary France then proceeded to go through many different governments, many of which were despotic and dictatorial. After the revolution and the Napoleonic wars.</li><li>Feudalism was destroyed</li><li>All privileged classes were abolished.</li><li>Capitalism became the new economic system.</li><li>Slavery was abolished in all French colonies.</li><li>Social equality and Socialism became popular ideas.</li></ul><div><mark>(n.d., 2019)</mark></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>It should be noted that the revolution built the greatest armies with which France had until then, to the point that the military establishment had a dominant role in French politics, which allowed the advent of a military dictatorship commanded by Napoleon. Thus the Revolution advanced various elements of military justice categorization of offenses, sentences that matched the gravity of a crime or misdemeanor, greater celerity in investigating and trying cases, and France's first military appeals courts  that were later incorporated into the nation's first comprehensive military justice code in 1857. <br><mark>(Hammond, &amp; H., C., 1970, January 1)</mark></div>]]></description>
