Afterwards we were talking about the painter Mondrian, about some characteristics of his work and seeing images, using the computer and on paper, of some of his works. The children wanted to know the name of some lines he used and we went to investigate. We also looked at the map of Europe, the country where he was born and some of his characteristic and touristic places.

Finally taking advantage of World Animal Day, each child chose an animal and painted it looking like Mondrian! It is worth mentioning that the children easily learned some characteristics of Mondrian's works!

We examined the life and works of PIET MONDRIAN. We separated our Legos according to the colors Mondrian used. We created Mondrian's works with the appropriate pieces.We colored our pictures using Mondrian colors.

Without really knowing what to say, I replied that art can be seen as a way of expressing yourself… for example music, dance, painting, sculpture.
