Lingvist - Using the Lingvist app, I am learning new words. The app is set up using matematical algorythms to determine how many times, and with what freqeuency you have to be presented with the new words to learn then most effectively. I am doing 50 exercises every day and I have found that I have learned a lot of new words. These words are always used in a full sentence, and you can also listen to the sentences, which means it helps with listening and pronounciation as well.

Lukas Kern material.
I have found a material for learning quickly. It focuses on getting a feeling of the language through listening to short stories, and having questions and answers about it. It helps with Listening and reading comprehension. I have learned some phrases like: meistern, jeden, manchmal, die Ecke, die Schultasche and schmeißen. There is a lot of repetition in it and that helps lay the good foundation of these dialogues. How do you ask things, and how do you respond to certain questions.

Translating the lyrics for the german song from Nena: Irgendwie, irgendwo, irgendwann. I found this interesting and I had to listen to the song a lot of times to get the words right. And also to figure out what can be the meaning, as only translating the lines does not always work.

Watching TV series Skins on Netflix with German audio. The expressions I have learnt:
personel krise - personal crisis
Ich Weiß genau wovon ich sprache - I know what I'm talking about
Das hast du dir selbst zuzuschreiben - You only have yourself to blame
Das ist nur eine Ausrede - That is just an excuse
Bring er einfach nach Hause - Let's bring him home
Ich bin müde - I am sleepy
Ich kann nicht Nick finden - I can't find Nick
I find this a useful exercise, because it helpes my listening comprehension, lets me learn expressions and also follow the words in the subtitles. It is also hepful for pronounciation and intonation. It was a good way of spending the morning on this holiday.

I have got them all correc twhich is a good feeling. Gives me a little push, as nowadays it getting difficult to get some studying done with this long lock-down now. But seeing these rules working, there is a pattern emerging. Like these new things we are learning are coming together into a "system", which I really like as it keeps up my attention.

I have got a material from my workplace, containing advice for working from home. I translated the presentation and learned some new expressions and words with it. It has listed recommendations about personal hygiene, different hazards, that need to be avoided at a home environment. Some adivce about ergonomics and also about personal well-being. Talking to people as much as possible. Taking breaks when neccessary and that we can contact our HR colleagues with any question.

I have found a link in one of the ISR examples. (https://www.thoughtco.com/masculine-feminine-or-nueter-in-german-4068442) This material is about rules on how to determine the gender of different words in German. It is a comprehensive tool that distinguishes what kind of words or word-endings usually indicate or in some cases define the gender of the noun. I found it very useful as learning these rules helps with learning the genders of the words. I really need this help as in my mother tongue Hungarian, or English do not have any genders, so the concept of having to use them is not always easy. But all-in-all this material is a good thing to use, and I definitely will revisit it later too.

I have used one of the example apps given as an additional source to practice telling the time(https://learningapps.org/view52341). It was a really good experiance that I got the first exercise right for the first time. I also went through my notes from the calls, and practised a little bit to tell random time. I have a little bit of difficulty withh half 4 for example, as in english it means 4:30, and in German it is 3:30, so I sometimes switch them up, but that will get better with practise, now that I know where this weakpoint is.
