The rainforest has lots of rain because it is very hot and wet. This Climate is found near the equator.
4. Tropical Rain Forests. The Tropical Rainforest made up 14% of the Earth's surface, now there are only about 6% left that covers the land. This 6% of land features mountains, valleys, flood plains, streams, rivers, and a little bit of wetlands.

It has four distinct seasons: winter, spring, summer and fall. Winters are cold and summers are warm. Temperate deciduous forests get between 30 and 60 inches of precipitation a year. Precipitation in this biome happens year round. Because the soil is very fertile and hardwood trees are good for building, this biome has some of the world's largest population centers in it.
4. In the Northern Hemisphere, the landscape over which temperate deciduous forests grow includes mountains, valleys, rolling hills, and flat plateaus. In the Southern Hemisphere, dry deciduous forests tend to occur near grasslands where the land is rolling or more nearly level.

Harsh weather in this environment, like icy and snowy winters. Summer is a rainy, hot and short season in the taiga. Fall is the shortest season for taiga. Spring brings flowers, the frozen ponds melt, and the animals come out from hibernation.
4.The cyclic freezing and thawing action of permafrost-rich soils enhances these processes of disintegration. The resulting polygon and stripe-like patterns often seen in alpine areas attest to the dynamic state of this ecosystem. The climate is extremely cold and humid, with long, dark winters and short, cool summers.

Temperatures in this biome vary greatly between summer and winter. The summers are hot and the winters are cold
4.The grass on steppes is very short and dry steppes are flat grounds that are like patches throughout the whole grassland. Toyon, chamise, poison oak, scrub oak, Yucca, shrubs, trees, cacti, myrtle, hawthorn.
3. the chaparral is characterized as being very hot and dry. The winter is very mild and is usually about 50°F (10°C). Most of the rain in this biome comes in the winter. The summer is hot and dry at up to 100°F (37.5°C). This makes fires and droughts very common.
4.In Europe it is called the maquis, Australia has themallee, Chile the matorral, and South Africa calls it fynbos. It is also called the Mediterranean Forest, Woodland, and Scrub biome. The chaparral biome has many different types of terrain. Some examples are flat plains, rocky hills and mountain slopes.

During the day the temperature may reach 50°C, when at night it may fall to below 0°C. Deserts have less than 250 mm of rainfall per year. The rain can be unreliable. Most deserts are found between 20° and 35° north and south of the equator.
4.The wind also plays an important role in moving and reshaping dunes. Examples of landforms that are obvious in deserts are rock pedestals, Yardangs, Desert pavements, Deflation hollows, Oasis and Sand dunes.About 10 to 20 percent of most deserts are covered by sand. Gravel, boulders, mountains, clay, and various types of soil cover most of the rest of the land. Most desert soil is too dry to support widespread vegetation, but much of it is rich in salt, uranium, and other minerals.

Tundras are among Earth's coldest, harshest biomes.Tundra ecosystems are treeless regions found in the Arctic and on the tops of mountains, where the climate is cold and windy and rainfall is scant. Tundra lands are snow-covered for much of the year, until summer brings a burst of wildflowers.
4. The dominant landscape type in most of the Arctic Circle, tundra is known for its abundance of water, low rolling hills and soft, porous earth. Even grass is an uncommon feature, as the rocky, wet ground is instead covered with lichens and low-lying brush.

The climate of freshwater biome is determined by a number of factors including location, season and depth of water. On average, the temperature will decline as the water gets deeper.
4.Freshwater ecosystems are a subset of Earth's aquatic ecosystems. They include lakes and ponds, rivers, streams, springs, and wetlands. They can be contrasted with marine ecosystems, which have a larger salt content.
