8. MENTION AND DESCRIBE AT LEAST THREE WHAT POEMS CAN DO WITH OUR LIFE ACCORDING TO STEPHEN BURT?

Poems can help us to express many emotions in the words of the poem. It can also be a source of education. Poems is not always about feelings it can be about knowledge. Its is a literature art that can be a source of communication too. Even poetry can be passed on from time to time that makes it’s value limitless.

9. WHY DO YOU THINK THE POEM OF JOHN KEATS, “THIS LIVING HAND”?

The poem written by John Keats is real creative. He shows the poem through the tittle, meaning the word “hand” itself in the tittle is showing how the poem can touch you. The “warm” in the poem would soon be “cold” and it is unable to grasp anything nor anything. He displays his hand to show is all and to prove us all that he exists. John will someday be collaring us even from beyond his grave, though can only enact the gesture when he is still breathing.

7. WHAT IS THE MESSAGE OF THE POEM, “THE BRAVE MAN” ACCORDING TO STEPHEN?

Now, the sun in this poem, in Wallace Stevens' poem, seems so grave because the person in the poem is so afraid.

The sun comes up in the morning through branches, dispels the dew, the eyes, on the grass, and defeats stars envisioned as armies. "Brave" has its old sense of showy as well as its modern sense. courage. This sun is not aftaid to show its face, but the person in the poem is afraid. He moght have been up all night. That is the revealing part of how Steven saves that 4th stanza, where runaway has become a refrain. This person might want to runaway too, but fortified by the sun’s example, he might just rise. Stevens saves that sonically odd word “meditation” for the end. Unlike the sun, human being think. We meditate on past and future, life and death, above and below. And it can make us afraid. Poems, the pattern in poems, show us not just what somebody throught or what someone did or what happened but what it was to be a person like that, which is to be anxious, lonely, so inquisitive, goofy, preposterous and so brave.
