It was used as a base camp for the USA Olympic men’s basketball team during London 2012. Leaving world class levels of equipment behind for the university. Sports Dock has a gym and hosts various BUCS competitions throughout the calendar and includes recreational sports activity. 6Profile a minority sport in London:- Greyhound racing- Greyhound racing is a staple in the sporting calendar of London. Various meets take place all over the capital; including Crayford Stadium in Bexley and Romford Greyhound Stadium in Romford. Wimbledon Greyhound Stadium situated on Plough Lane closed in March 2017 after 89 years of dog racing at the venue. The site will now home AFC Wimbledon in 2019. ‘Romford Dogs’ as it is affectionately known is renowned the world over and in the 1930’s the track even held cheetah racing. The Sport has declined in popularity and this has been presented in London as there are now only two greyhound stadiums. 4.
