In this evaluation we wrote each of our assumptions and evaluated the risk of each to our business if they were wrong. Through this process we learned that our riskiest assumption is that there is a desire for delivery sweet treats in the local Falmouth area. This assumption being correct is highly critical to the success our business, as if there is not as much demand for the product as we thought then there may not be a market for us capitalise on. Pamphlets delivered through doors have the potential to carry Covid-19 into households.
In order to counter this concern we will be sterilising the pamphlet's prior to putting them through front doors and regularly using hand sanitiser when handling pamphlets to reduce the risk of transferring anything. Also if any of the team have symptoms relating too Covid we will be suspending the test immediately.
2. Adverse weather conditions. Falmouth is prone to some relatively strong winds which can become a hazard when walking around. We will be mitigating this risk by conducting the test on a day where the weather is fair.
3. Some household don’t want to receive promotional materials through their letter boxes. In some cases we may potentially be angering someone if we put a pamphlet through the wrong front door. This could be potentially dangerous for us handing out pamphlets. So to mitigate this risk we will be checking every household for ‘no soliciting’ signs and avoiding putting pamphlets into those households.

Here we see our website landing page. The website features an about us section which interested consumers could use to learn more about our business. We also managed collect 11 emails from consumers who were extremely interested in the service and wanted to be emailed updates for when we had stock to sell them.
We were very pleased with the response and even though we were 6 website hits short of achieving our goal for the test we were still happy with the results. It was great to ‘get out of the building’ and take our idea to our consumers and validate our learning.
