-The expectation for living that I would relate to this fable is Expectation 1: We value each other as unique and special individuals. The travelers needed to look deeper than the fruitless branches to realize the value of the tree.

• The expectation here is "We will help one another whenever possible." The older wise mouse spoke up to help the community use common sense before acting.

• This speaks to the Life principle of common sense. The mice were lucky to have someone remind them to think and use better judgement before acting on their plan.

Expectation of Living:

We will value one another as unique and special individuals. I chose this because instead of the stag always tearing himself down, he should value his uniqueness.

Life Principle:

Fortitude. Even though the stag thought he had wobbly legs, he made sure to use them to his best ability when he knew he was in danger.

"A man who cannot tolerate small ills can never accomplish great things." -Chinese Proverb. The stag needed to recognize his uniqueness but instead looked at them as intolerable.

Expectation of Living:

#8 We will practice virtuous living, using the Life Principles. I chose this because the characters displayed several good virtues and life principles. The mouse showed courage, problem-solving, sticking to his word, doing what he said he would do, while the lion showed respect, fairness and friendship.

Life Principle: Caring and Respect. The lion showed trust that the mouse would repay his kindness of letting him go and caring enough to be consider the mouse’s feelings. The mouse in turn cared for the Lion’s safety and the promise he made to him. They both showed each other respect, by showing consideration for others.

I read The Plane Tree. This fable shows two travelers that stop to rest in the shade of the tree. They complain that the tree does not have any use such as bearing fruit. The tree tells them they are are ungrateful and there for the shade, not the fruit.

This fable shows the expectation that we will value one another as unique and special individuals.

The life principal being taught is respect. The travers have a lack of respect for what the tree has to offer.

The expectation here is Expectation 1: We will value one another as unique and special individuals. If both the Butterfly and the Rose valued one another there would have been some loyalty in their relationship.

The Life Principal this relates to is empathy, forgiveness, and humility.

-the expectation here is " we will help one another whenever possible." The frog tied the mouses feet to his to help him go in th pound.

-This speakes to the life principle of cooperation. The frog and mouse work togather.

*The expectation here is "We will help one another whenever possible." The crane should have helped without expecting anything in return.

*The wolf was lucky to have the crane help but also shouldn't have offered a reward for the help if he didn't intend to give one. The crane should have offered to help without the expectation of being rewarded.

This fable told a story of a man who thought he could read the future in the stars. When he thought he saw end of the world coming, he fell into a muddy water hole. The villagers came running to save him and inquired about his efforts to predict the future while failing to see what's right in front of him.

One of the expectations this fable relates to is #5 "We will help one another whenever possible." The villagers came to his rescue and tried to give him advice on how to focus more on the now and less on the future.

One of the life principles displayed here could be friendship. Despite the astrologer being careless, the villagers still showed friendliness by saving the man and helping him to see that he is missing the little things in front of him while worrying about things in the future.

A quote that could be used along with this fable is "Never worry about the future. It comes soon enough" by Albert Einstein. The future is inevitable, so we must be present in the moment.

- The expectation for living that I would relate to this fable to is Expectation 5: We will help each other whenever possible.  Without the help of the wiser Rat, the remaining mice would have met their demise. 

-The life principle utilized in this fable would be Common sense and Service. The wise rats service helped the other mice use their common sense to not be fooled again by the same tactics.

• The expectation for living is " We will help one another whenever possible." The Ducks saw that The Tortoise needed help, so they helped him.

• There are a few life principals showcased in this fable. The Ducks showed compassion, effort, cooperation and friendship in helping The Tortoise.

• " We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." - Winston Churchill

*The expectation for living that this fable relates to is Expectation 6: We will recognize every effort and applaud it. In the story, the group of mice rejoice and applaud at the single mouse's idea, since no one had yet come up with that idea.

*The life principle that this fable aligns with is problem-solving. The group of mice came together to deliberate on how to solve their problem: freeing themselves from the Cat.

*The quote that I felt aligns with the fable is "Thinking well is wise; planning well, wiser; doing well, wisest of all." - Persian Proverb

In the fable, the mice not only have to think of an idea, but they have to plan on how to achieve it. Finally, they have to execute the plan.

I believe the expectation here is Service and to help one another whenever possible they are taking a different way to help each other.

-Expectation for living #1 We will value one another as unique and special individuals. The Camel should recognize that the Monkey can have his talents and that The Camel may have different ones.

-Expectation for living #4 We will cheer each other to success. It is okay to let others shine and we should encourage them and be happy for them.

-Life Principles: Friendship, Humility, Integrity, Loyalty, Patience, Propriety, and Self-Discipline.

• I relate Expectation number one to this fable. The rat did not value the elephant as a unique and special individual.

• Humility is the life principle that came to mind. One must not speak or believe too highly of themselves in comparison to others, without thinking of another's background.

• The quote that is relatable in this fable is: A resemblance to the great in some things does not make us great

Brass Pot encourage Earthen Pot to not let that stop him from going out. If there is any danger, Brass Pot will protect Earthen Pot by put himself in front of the danger to protect Earthen Pot from shattering. While Brass Pot did his best to protect Earthen Pot, he was made of clay and flew into a thousand pieces. "Equals make the best friends."

The Two Pots used the expectations for encouragement to do the best, and sort of valued the Earthen Pot's uniqueness. He didn't make fun of Earthen and cheered him to try.

They used compassion, courage, courtesy, effort, empathy,

Espirt De Corps, flexibility, fortitude, friendship, humility, initiative, loyalty, optimism, patience, perseverance, resiliency, respect, self-disipline, service, and sincerity.

The Eight Expectation that was evident for me was number 3: we will help one another whenever possible. The lion decided to help the mouse by not eating him, and the mouse helped the lion by getting him out of the trap.

The life principles that are evident are: commitment, compassion, courtesy, forgiveness, friendship, honesty, and service.

The expectation that tags along here is valuing others based on their specific skill set. No two people work in the same way, you must remain positive and work together to accomplish your tasks.

#1 and #5 .... Life Principles of humility and service

The two travelers did not realize and value the worth and purpose of the tree. They basically made the tree feel useless by commenting that it could bear no fruit.

The tree ,however, continued to provide "shade" for anyone who stopped. Helping anyone in need of rest and comfort without expecting anything in return.

Expectation:

#5 We will help one another whenever possible. I think this expectation fits perfectly with the message of the fable. It highlights the importance of being kind and working together. The sons need to focus on being helpful to each other, rather than competing.

Life Principle: I chose the life principle of cooperation for this fable. The father hoped to emphasize the importance of the brothers working together, and cooperation is so important for that to happen. If the sons are able to show cooperation in caring for one another, they will be stronger.
