Afterwards he meets Julia, a collegue of him who hides a ribellious attitude, and to whom he fall in love. Howewer he is found by O’Brien, a member of the «Inner Party» who told him he is a member of the «Brotherood», a mysterious group,lead by Emmanuel Goldstein, which is trying to overthrown the Party. Then some soldiers suddenly break in and arrest all of them, who are taken to the "Ministry of Love" where Winston finds out that O'Brien was a Party spy. Winston is sended to «Room 101» where some rats are put on his head. Winston's will is broken and he is released to the outside world, because finally he has learned to love Big Brother.
