The main character is named Ollie and he invited some of his friends to read a new book that he had just got. As he was reading he noticed that everything that it says in the book is happening in real life. The book says and suddenly they hear a little knock which then happens. Ollie then opened the door and there was a little note in some foreign language. As time went on not many things happened but then a random light flicker brought thoughts in everyone's head.

This book symbolizes when the four friends were reading a scary book right before weird things started happening. For example the lights started flickering and they heard a sudden knock on their door and a random note written in a foreign language.

The dark water symbolizes when they went kayaking. Also when the boat randomly started shaking and since the water was so dark they couldn't see what was in the water under them.

Ollie learned his lesson by realizing that hes never alone and to listen to his parents. As it says in the bible in (Joshua 1:9) also it says that in ( Isaiah 41:10).

The reason why I put man vs man is because through the whole book all four characters were fighting against this shape shifting sea monster who first appeared with a knock on their door. Then the whole house started shaking and then they went kayaking and their whole boat lifted up and flipped them over leaving only two friends surviving and the other two were never found again. The remaining two made theories about what happened to the other two. One theory was that the got sunken down to the ocean by the creature the other theory was that the monster had eaten them but still the question hasn't been answered.

Ollie learned his lesson by listening to his parents. And to not go out when he's not supposed to. Because tons of things happened when he went out it even leading two of his friends disappearing and never being found again.

In Ollie's past he believed that he could be anything. He always listened to his parents but he was always very curious and always finding out everything. But that didn't mean that he was always a good kid. One day he snick out at night to go explore the abandoned river but then he felt that he wasn't alone. He quickly ran home and acted like nothing ever happened.
