Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. It's an opportunity to celebrate all those tinkering creative types who spend their free time laboring in the workshop making things. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these "makers" to show off their hobbies & projects.

Share your creative passion with the community and inspire the next generation. Robots, trains, wooden toys, video games, 3D printers, cosplay, lasers, drones, upcycling, and everything else we are forgetting is “faire” game.

We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth - a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness. Come see what your community is out there making. Glimpse the future and get inspired!

How much does it cost to exhibit?

Most makers exhibit for FREE! If you're selling anything during the faire and have a hands-on activity, the cost is $50. If you are selling and don't have a hands-on activity, the cost is $100. We're limited by our license to only have 20% of all exhibitors selling anything. Our goal is to educate, inspire, and connect makers of all ages.

If you love showcasing your creations, have a hands-on experience to share, or want to connect with the community and attract new members, we want you! We're hoping to make this our biggest Maker Faire yet as we expand to the Micron Center of Progress this year. Join us!

Ithaca Makers: Call for Makers at Maker Faire Syracuse 2026

Maker Faire Syracuse is a non-profit organization that hosts an annual family-friendly, education focused showcase of creativity and innovation. They are especially looking for hands-on activities and live demonstrations to inspire others to become makers like you.

The Maker Faire license limits the number of for-profit makers that are strictly selling ($100/booth) so if you are able to provide a hands-on activity, it’s less restricted and the fee is half as much ($50/booth). Showcasing without selling is free of charge and unrestricted (except by space). This may work better if you want to get exposure for your website or brand without having to set up for sales.

If participating as a maker/exhibitor is not the best fit for you, consider attending or volunteering instead. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to network and find inspiration.

If you are interested in participating but can’t make it because of a conflicting event, I’d appreciate knowing for my future reference. I’m always eager to learn about more events.
