Revolution is when a planet rotates around its star/sun, and depending on how close the planet is to its star, it takes a while, or a small amount of time, to completly go around its star. earth, which is in the goldey locks zone/just the right amount of heat and cold, takes about 365 days to do this full revolution

Rotaiton is when the earth spins on it axis. Its the reason we have seasons! Now you may be asking why the rotation of earth cause the seasons? Well earths axis as actually tilted a bit, (23.4) and has two types of hemespheres, the north and southern hemespheres. by the cause of earths tilt, one hemisphere gets more then the other. The one who Recives more light, has summer, the other one, who doesnt get lots of light, gets winter, and when both hemispheres are facing the sun, we have autumn and spring.
