Having more than 1 method for success when approaching a test

Use the same language you used in lesson when writing the test

Provide past exams for studying

Provide question bank ahead of time

Accessibility considerations - adjust language for students, text font and size

Open book with “hand written notes” - own questions and processing

Discussing with students ahead of time so they know what to expect about how they will be assessed

Set expectations on “re-testing” with them ahead of time

Creating a guideline of things to focus on (test outline)

Using percentage of content you teach and applying it to the test (EX: 50% of the course was on ecosystems so 50% of test is on that)

Cheat Sheets (picking out key things; actively reviewing materials)

Student Creation of Tests (letting students realize what is important + what they think they should be tested on)

A cheat sheet ( can also award an extra point if there handing them in )
