- Overfishing is reducing the population of marine animals.
- Pollution in the oceans has affected the marine animals as it can cause animals to be exposed to dangerous chemicals and/or consuming rubbish.
- Due to human activity creating climate change, the oceans become more acidic as there is more CO2 in the atmosphere.
- Chemicals such as pesticides and fertiliser flow from the rivers in farmlands and eventually lead to entering in the oceans which cause marine animals to become sick if they are exposed to it.
- Coastal Redevelopment can harm marine animals as marine environment can be filled with sand or any unwanted materials from the development.
- As the human population is increasing, the land use increases which makes the animal habitats decrease.
