Summary in case anything is unclear from my writing:
1. Ss found the topic highly engaging/were eager to share stories from their childhood
2.Visual cues were helpful for promoting discussion and sparking memories, though Ss occasionally became side-tracked.
3.Ss were less advanced in their language skills than anticipated, had to improvise. Could improve by being more prepared for this. E.g. "Comparing and contrasting" may have been a little too advanced for these learners.
4.Some Ss from the same language group often spoke with one another in their own language, rather than English, which hindered their learning. Could improve by arranging seating so these students are made to interact in English with others.
5. Only used google images in terms of internet resources (links written). Whiteboard could not be used as markers were out of ink- compromised by projecting laptop onto board and typing vocab. This achieved the lesson goals.

Attached is a link to the lesson plan that I made for "Going to the doctor. Its definitely still a work in progress, but I think I was starting to gain an understanding for how to lay it out and also I utilized the opportunity to practice including a variety of resources. I believe making lesson plans will get easier as I do it more. It would also help observe several ESL lessons taught by someone else.

Attached you can find the lesson plan I created with the topic "At the Farmers Market".
I enjoyed the process of digging deeper into creating activities that correspond with learning outcomes for my students.
Since I have not had much experience planning and teaching lessons so far, estimating the time each activity would/will take is something that I am hoping to get further confidence as I am learning and practising these skills. So my goal for the future is to keep being a learner of how to be a better teacher.

Here is a plan for a lesson. With Tacos being one of my favorite things to eat, I thought it would be fun to create a lesson that interests me as well. I have found over the years that planning lessons that are interesting to you stimulates a natural passion and is often caught by those you are teaching. While this is not always the case, it sure does make it more fun to plan.

This is my first ever lesson plan and very challenging as I have never taught English in a classroom setting. It covers 7 basic human emotions because I think it's good to know how to express what we're feeling.
The hardest thing for me is trying to judge if an activity is too hard or too easy (or even appropriate) for the target group. I need experience for this! : )
Oh, I also skipped a page accidentally in the plan so it's blank.

This is my lesson plan - going on a vacation!
I had lots of fun doing this, so I might have done some of the extra things that are not really required... But I just couldn't stop myself! :) The hardest part for me is to know if an activity will be too hard or too easy for the targeted proficiency level. So if anyone has some insight or feedback on this topic, I'd love to hear it.
