         <title>Ling - SES has far reaching effect on nurturing children and ultimately affect the society.  Families with higher SES will naturally able to cater more whilst children from lower SES need lots of help and nudging in building up their social, cognitive, self esteem and overall well being.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A child with a high SES and a child with a low SES display different level of understanding, maturity as well as knowledge as they may be exposed to either adequate or little information. Hence, they may be a communication barrier between them. Children with a high SES would lean towards communicating with those who are at the same level as them instead.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Children coming from different SES backgrounds will have different kinds of upbringing. There is a tendency whereby amongst themselves, there is form of comparison taking place such as the type of shoes they wear to school, the bags, the water bottles etc. Due to this, some children whose parents could not afford such 'luxury' would feel isolated or incompetent, at times even envy their peers at times. This will result to them wanting to play more on their own rather than socializing due to lack the of self-esteem/ confidence.</div>]]></description>

As a result, this leads to physical violence on their children. Thus, low SES children are more apt to experience depression, low self-esteem and delinquency. It may be tougher for these children to fit in and has less confidence in socializing with others.</div>]]></description>
