I got an Apple Watch a couple of months ago and it has been such a helpful tool with tracking my workouts and getting prompts to stand, move, and breathe.

I have made a habit out of working out in the morning. I miss a few days here and there, but I don't beat myself up over it. I just try to get some movement in on those days. I do notice that I experience more anxiety on days where I skip my workouts. This has been somewhat a breakthrough in understanding how to help ease my anxiety.

My posts haven't been consistent but I would still like to share what I've been up to. This video was taken right as the leaves were beginning to change. I was on my daily after-work walk and was enamored with how the leaves fluttered from the trees.

One of my favorite things to do when there is enough sunlight after work is to hike at Hartman Creek near my home. This photo is from early November. Now that it's winter, I want to get snowshoes so I can still get my outside activity in.

This week has been challenging for me because I have been sick since Tuesday. I still managed to get my barre workout in every day except for yesterday. I felt that my body needed a lot of rest more than it needed a workout, so I allowed myself to stay in bed. That day of rest seemed to help because today I am feeling a little better and I did a modified workout.
Though I prefer to move every day, I think it is important to listen to your body and to rest when you feel you need it.
I feel like I am in the action phase of change. Although I am exercising almost every day now, I still have an issue with having no screens 1 hour before bedtime. This is something I am working on and I feel that addressing it will bring me into the maintenance phase. I am proud of myself for preparing to exercise each day by setting out my exercise clothes each night and preparing my space so I am ready to go in the morning.
