         <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><ul><li>The HDI&nbsp;was created to emphasise that people and their capabilities should be the ultimate criteria for assessing the development of a country , not economic growth .</li><li>The United Nations uses the HDI to evaluate countries in terms of the wellbeing of their citizens.</li><li>The HDI measures development in three areas: health, education and the standard of living.</li><li>Health is assessed by life expectancy at birth.</li><li>Education is measured by the average number of years of school completed by adults.</li><li>Standard of living is assessed by the GNI per capita.</li><li>These three measures are combined to produce a single HDI score.</li><li>Irelands HDI change from 2020 was a rise by 0.002 and it is currently at a value of 0.945.</li></ul>]]></description>
