The best way to understand whether PBIS impacts the school positively or negatively is by collecting. This data process can be gathered through discipline records, teacher report on targeted students and special education student with Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP). This information can be gather and accessed weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and/or yearly. The personal over the PBIS program gathers all of this information up and convert it into a data sheet to be graded by the district and the state to access whether the program is working.

The PBIS program directly ties to the Educational Levers in which it impacts the school climates to create a health and safe educational learning environment. The program helps establish norms and rules which governs not only the students but the faculty and staff too. The positivity of safety and welcoming environment allows for the school to thrive and be successful in the goals that are demanded by the school district.

The PBIS initiative relates to several school climate dimensions. These dimensions highlight various categories of school climate. I am going to highlight the importance of Safety when it comes to PBIS.
Dimension 1 (Safety): Rules and Norms. Establishing a the basis of what we want the students do and how we want them to act in school and provide them with a guideline to follow them by. From a physical aspect of security these regulations that are put in place helps the students and adults avoid any type of bodily harm within the school setting. PBIS also help with bullying, teasing, and verbal abuse of all types allowing student various outlets to communicate and release and evaluate their actions and how it will impact their education. "Children will rise to the level of our expectation. It's our job to set those expectation and teach them." (Bambrick-Santoyo, 2018)
