In 1897 a group of jewish people created a state that we now know as israel  tens of thousands of jews moved to the state  after world war 1 france and britain split up the  middle east britain allowed jews to emigrate but as more jews came setting up large farming communities tension between jews and arabs grew both sides started to get violent and in 1930 britain limited the amount of jews that made the jews fight not just local arabs but also resist british rule soon after that world war 2 came around making more jews to come to israel in 1947 the violence grew   then the united nations split palestine into states one for jews israel and one for arabs palestine and jerusalem  was a special place to share this way everyone would be happy the jews got their own state and the arabs got their independence all was happy right?... the jews were happy with the plan and declared independence however the arabs were not so happy they saw it as just more british colonising and that they were trying to steal their land so they declared war on  israel  the war lasted for an entire year but in the end israel won the war however during the war israel pushed well out of its border forcing thousands of palestinians to flee to refugee camps also israel now controlled all the land aside from gaza witch egypt controlled a few decades later  the arab  states gradually made peace with israel it marked the beginning of the end of the conflict even if there was no peace treaties.
