In my village we generally do farming, we grow rice, tobacco, dhal etc depending upon the seasons.
We have a very famous shree ram temple in our village. It's the centre of attraction and I love my village because of the feeling that I get when ever I go i.e having a village size family. It's a peaceful world without traffic noise , i can find a nature sounds(air,birds). for past four years we were facing water scarcity in summer . we tried borewells but no luck. Now we are using tractors for water transportation for trees. suppling of water for 14 acres is very expansive . for our good a project was sanctioned . Village is a very peaceful place where we can listen the melodious music of nature and breath the unpolluted air  . Most of the people lives in small house and they use most of their land for agriculture, cattle farming is also common all over the village. There is a river that passes through the village. The villager's use water from the river for agricultural purpose and there basic needs. My village comes under nilgiris district which consists of several villages. The place is very cold surrounded by a number of trees and mountains. Apart from that there are agricultural fields and tea plants seen all over the place. Compared to the cities, it has a nice atmosphere(pollution free). But there are some drawbacks in the village which need to be developed. I live in a  developed village near ERUMELI a pilgrim halt on the way to  Sabarimala .

 We have the famous VALYAMBALAM ,KOCHAMBALAM and Vavar mosque here near by . Every year we experience the festive season and celebrations like chandanakkudam and pettathullal. My place is a paradise known for religious harmony .
The place is rich in greenery as major occupation over here is 'rubber cultivation' .There are estates of rubber lands over many acres .
The place is usually bright and we receive a lot of rain ,we have two schools in my village one is a government UP and other is a CBSE school .We also have the famous Perunthen aruvi water falls ,DAM, and the SABARIMALA FOREST, Periyar tiger reserve in a 4KM  distance.
We also have  triabel groups in the very next place in a 5Km distance
The famous tourist destination Gavi is also under my village kollamula.
