1-2 days before the exam, I read ALL the lecture slides and/or personal notes in order (you don’t have to read & note in detail, just skim through all of them), and time it just right so that I finish reading them all the night before the exam. You’ll be amazed by how all the pieces of knowledge come together as a whole after doing this!

I often note on the slides when attending lectures and I mainly use slides as the learning material. When I would like to dig deep into one topic, I often learn on Osmosis (just trial version :(((() and on Youtube but in Vietnamese. In addition, I also prepare questions that cover all key-points in each lecture with answers, so in the week before exam, I just focus on reviewing these questions.

Biology and chemistry are the only 2 y1 subjects that will follow you till your last day on earth. You don't need to remember everything but make sure what are high-yield things. Some examples

- membrane transport: pharmacology
- gene expression: pathophysiology
- cell signaling: pharmacology pathophysiology
- membrane potential , action potential , transmission through synapse
- homeostasis
- organic chemistry: protein, carb, lipid, acid nu
- buffer & pk, ph
Understand = you can teach other with simple and accurate language

Please make sure you understand those things at all cost. These are also concepts I recommend you to read textbooks to understand fully ( beginner: Campbell 's biology , advance: guyton physiology

Action potential) try to read from several sources → can help you point out your misunderstandings and learn from several aspects.
- have your questions before reading books (crucial because don't have much time, unless ur a genius )
- utilize the table of content: the big picture of that subjects

- Trying to understand the big picture while attending lectures. I normally try by making myself answer these question right after the lecture ends: what is that, where why how does it happens. The details could be reserved for later
- Draw mindmap and try connecting the dots, not only within 1 lecture but also between different lectures
- try to categorize the materials based on its importance level before you actually study. There are lectures that need extra focus, the professor or TA may give some hints about this. For the less important ones, you could reserve them for later once you finished with the important ones.
- Have a good study plan/calendar/schedule before you actually study.
- use mnemonic
- ask for your friends' note, or asking questions with friends to check up the knowledge. You may find out that you get a few concepts wrong
