She earned her medical degree from Geneva medical college and had strong participation in different associations and organizations. Also reform movements involving ideas and beliefs such as associationism (The association of idea or sensations as the primary basis of meaning of thought or learning), women's rights, and others. </div>]]></description>

This lead her to be involved in the medical field and spreading valuable lessons to women. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Elizabeth Blackwell was born in 1821 in Bristol, England to a large, prosperous, and <a href="https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/cultured">cultured</a> family and was well educated by private tutors. Her parent's were Hannah Lane and Samuel Blackwell. When Elizabeth Blackwell was 11 years old she moved to America because her father wanted to fight to abolish slavery. From a young age Elizabeth was inspired by her father to fight for anti-slavery and equal rights and opportunity for women.  </div>]]></description>
