La Fiesta de La Vendimia or Vendimia takes place in Mendoza, Argentina the first Saturday of March to commemorate a good harvest of grapes and make good Wine with them.

There's a very famous event of Queens in Mendoza,where each district presents it's Queen and they go trough the middle of the Capital, it's called "El Carrusel de las Reinas". This event is well know around the world and many tourist come to Mendoza for that specific holiday.

The New Year celebration is celebrated in all countries at the end of the last day of the year, although depending on the culture is different the date on which it is celebrated (for example the Chinese New Year) but in general it is December 31 at night to receive the first day of the new year. The dress is varied and is spent with family or with the closest loved ones while eating together to celebrate.
