1. I would characterize him as someone who made a mark against his society. He was influential and seemed to care about his reign and the people he reigned. He dedicated time to his religion while also maintaining ultimate care for his country.
2. I would define wealth as someone who recognizes their place in society and understanding that they have an excessive amount of something compared to others. I do believe that wealth isn't entirely based of social status and money, it can be based on things that aren't something you can hold in your hands.
3. I think while wealth relatively means the same thing as it did in the fourteenth century, there are major differences. For example, the world as a whole did not have as much money and they had to work harder to obtain their wealth. The definition of wealth focused more on slavery and ownership while today I think it is based moreso on social status, money, and greed.

As any ruler would, he had a ton of money, and I think many people loving him because he shared his wealth with his people.

We could characterize wealth as power and confidence because it is almost like a safety net, you can do what ever you want because money can help fix a mistake.

Less people were wealthy back then, so I think be a rich person back then would seem more important because everyone would look up to you. Now a days there is not really as fine between rich and poor.

1. I would characterize him as a caring man who truly did dedicate his life to his country and religion
2. I would characterize/ describe wealth who has a lot of something. When I think about wealth I mainly think about someone having a lot of money, but honestly you can be wealthy in anything. I also think you can be wealthy in things like happiness too.
3. I think it is very different to be wealthy in the fourteenth century, because a little bit to us is a whole lot to people back then. Even looking at prices of different things and a paycheck from the 1960's it is so much different from prices today. I also think people have more money tend to be people who are more influential, because they can easily get the resources to be influential.

1. We characterize him as a very caring, wealthy, religious, and good ruler. He loved anything to do with learning. He built universities, and treated the public well.
2. We would characterize wealth as money, greed, pride power, confidence, the ability to get anything you desire. Even though you have a lot of money doesn't always mean that you are happy.
3. We say less because wealthy people controlled society back then. Now people use their money on stupid things where as back then they didn't have much to spend it on. Poor people had less of a say.

1. Based on what I know about Mansa Musa I would thing that he was a successful ruler who could provide lots for his kingdom. He seemed like a generous king who shared his wealth.
2. I would define wealth as having a great amount of money and other valuable and expensive things.
3. I think that it is different being wealthy today than in the fourteenth century. Wealth today is all about the money and I think in the fourteenth century things like salt and gold were more included. I think that people being known as wealthy is more common today and back then there were few people that were considered wealthy.

1. He was a very successful ruler he led his empire to success. He must of cared about their well being to put them in a place of wealth and allow others to live in this striving empire. He cared about basic current topics in our lives such as religion and education.
2. I think of wealth in two ways. There is wealthy as in having lots of money and wealthy as in being very smart and having a good character. It is often better to have a wealthy mind more so than a wealthy pocket, but in the 21st century the idea of having a wealthy mind is almost forgotten.
3. Now a day it is great to be pocket wealthy because you have so much control. Finding someone with a rich mind seems so pure and hard to find in today's society. Wealth is much more current in this day in age than the fourteenth century.

1. I would say that he is supportive of his people, a good person, he wants what is best for his people. He cares for them, and he very religious
2. I would say that wealth is all about money but it is not just that. It is about how you care for the people around you and how you treat the people in your life. But it is still mostly about the money and power that you hold.
3. First off I think that there are more wealthy people in the world today then back then. I also think that the wealth people have more of an influence in todays world then back then because we can see the wealthy people on tv and on our phones all the time and we want to be like them. But at the same time i think that we have a less good influnce on the people today than back then.

1. I would describe him as an influential ruler because of the impact he had not only surrounding his wealth but because of his devotion to his religion. The impact of the mosques being built and the attention of his pilgrimage drew attention to islam.
2. I would characterize wealth as having a surplus of something
3. It is different now to be wealthy than in the past. Now, wealth mainly circulates around money. In the past, knowledge, land, etc. also were factors to wealth. I think we have less influence now because of the limitations set on wealth. If someone has a wealth of knowledge, but doesn't have to money or the means to share it, then there isn't a way for them to be heard, or to learn from their voice.

I would characterize him as someone who wants to do the right thing and help his people, but while doing this he is actually causing more damage (inflation).
2. His wealth put him and his people on the map and shaped the kingdom to what is it known as.
3. I think you have a whole lot less influence because when Mansa Musa was alive everyone knew him and or had heard of him. In todays world their quite a few very wealthy people and many regular people like me have not heard of them, for example when I was reading the list of the most wealthiest people I heard of any of the people that are alive or were alive recently.

1. I would say that he cares about his kingdom in a way in which he makes sure to use his wealth and power to help the kingdom grow. He was extremely devoted to his religion (Islamic) in a way that he made sure incorporate it everywhere throughout the kingdom.
2. I would describe wealth a someone who has a lot of not only money but power and control. Of course back then you couldn't have control or power without money. I would also add someone who has a lot of property.
3. I think if you have more money that doesn't necessarily define you as any more important or have any stronger of an influence. I think today our society is more flexible with wealth as opposed to back in the 14th century. However, I think it sometimes can help in certain situations to be wealthy, when it comes to purchases or deals as it did back then but overall the influence has changed.

1. I think Mansa Musa was a caring ruler who wanted everyone to be happy. I do think a lot of his power and success is based off his money, although I think he spent it without much, but was a good ruler. He definetly cared a lot about his people, and did not only want to rule them and put them down.
2. I define wealth as the amount of power and rule over others that a person has. With this, I think that also having a loving family and a good life plays into wealth, because without people to surround and care for you your money and power over others is meaningless and not needed.
3. Today being wealthy, you don't have as much power over others, althouth you can buy whatever you want. People these days aim to get more money and work harder to do so, whereas back then they inherited their money. Many more people have more wealth, but people often give their money to various charities and services which is similar to Musa who gave money to the poor.

He was able to put his empire in a prosperous position of power, but he made sure not keep all the money for himself. He used it to help others as well.
2. I would define wealth as someone with a very high position of power and having a lot of money.
3. I think that in many ways it is the same to be wealthy as it was back then. Being wealthy provides people with more opportunities than those who are not as fortunate, just as it did back then. Though those specific opportunities may differ from the past

1) I would characterize Mansa Musa as a lucky ruler. He was blessed with an empire that was full of goods he was able to take advantage of and use to make money. I also think was a bad ruler because he did not use the money wisely, but instead went on expensive journeys and spent money carelessly.
2) I would define wealth as the amount of money and power you own. I also think personal wealth is the amount of important and loving people a person has in their life along with how much is important to them rather than what they have that isn't.
3) I think money wealth has practically the same meaning today as it did in the past. Wealth is viewed less today though because it is less seen throughout everyday life. In the past, you were more likely to tell by looking at a person if they had wealth.

I think he was probably a pretty good ruler, and he was the richest man to ever live but that's after you account for inflation. I'm assuming he got a bit greedy and power hungry. However I will give him the fact that he pushed for and encouraged education.
2. Wealth is having a lot of a certain thing, for example money.
3. I believe money for the most part equals power. Only people with a lot of money become president and it's very rare that someone with less of it will be influential. This happened more in the fourteenth century because then you could buy your way into power pretty much. Nowadays it's similar but the people have a lot more of a say. They just happen to have less money so the richer people are heard more often.
