Although this fire was the result of a roofing mistake, fires and natural disasters such as this are becoming more and more rampant do to climate change. As an educator, I want to teach my students how to be scientifically literate and to understand that we need to save this planet. I found that my culture, being the combination of others, is unique, but it doesn't dictate who I am. I am half white and Chinese, but I am excellent at making Italian pasta. Based on scientific argumentation fostering scientific literacy, this topic was constantly present in my mind during the year. I ended up writing 3 separate lessons using argumentation (all different lessons).
