One piece of advice that I have been trying to incorporate this semester and I will continue to incorporate is to take everyday day by day. This will allow me to be more intentional with my time and not be caught up/overwhelmed by the future.

Life feels strangely short and so long at the same time. During that entire time, you are surrounded by others who are going through their own things and have their own stories. It's best to keep that in mind, even if you never find out what their story is. Among the other people you are surrounded with, you are forever stuck with yourself. Have empathy for them, they're doing their best.

Something that I think about is that every decision I make has an impact, either good or bad. I want to be intentional with decisions I make, both big - like making a big decision, and small - deciding what to do with my day. Life is too short to be autonomous.

When watching “9 Life Lessons” I was happy to hear Tim’s advice. Having micro ambitions instead of weighing your whole life on this one goal you’ve had since you were a child, try to stay open to change and learn to adapt. A quote I really liked from this piece of advice was, “if you focus too far in front of you, you won’t see the shiny thing out the corner of your eye.” Essentially, I don’t want to miss the little shiny things that might be hidden from my current view. :)

For me, it is so much easier to sit inside all day and study than go out and have fun. Working hard to achieve your goals is fun in its own sense, but for the remainder of this semester and next semester, I'm going to try to have more fun in a more conventional way.

I often find myself hyper fixated on one of these things, like homework for example, and forget to give myself time for things I enjoy. So yes! Balance.
