  • Marketing strategies of corporations for their products are more sophisticated, but also more persuasive as they were before
  • The manipulation of children is very effective as a marketing strategy for corporations, because parents buy more products if their children nag or as them for the products
  • Consumers are manipulated by the corporations. Corporations use technologies such as collecting the consumers‘ online data to get them to buy more of their products
  • Corporation has problems in future = battle of basic resources
  • “corporations= artificial creations/”monsters” trying to devour as much profit as possible at anyone’s expands”
  • Corporations —>bad apple (bad/corrupt, one whose behavior has detrimental influence on their associates)
  • Civil war & industrial revolution created enormous growth for corporations
  • Corporations can operate legally as an individual person (even though a group of people sits behind this corporation it is seen as a legal person under the law) à it has many of legal rights of a person (it can buy, sell, borrow money, sue, get sued)
—>People see corporations as a part of our society, as a personality with real characteristics, feelings, politics, belief systems
