I am a second year medical student at the UMF of Iasi where you will attend for a congress in two weeks.
I saw your TED talk and i completely agree about the lack of empathy and communication between physician.
For about 4 years now i have been trying to create a social scientific website currently focused on medical sciences. I hope this project will become the first online social medical encyclopedia. I believe this project has an endless potential. This website could be a place where patient AND physicians could learn talk, exchange or even debate about everything related to the medical world alongside a reliable medical database that could gather all the web's scientific data (Support groups for doctors and patients are part of my plan among many other things)
After 4 years of struggle and disappointment i have finally found a programmer and i am proud to say that this ambitious project could come to life in the next months.
I am sending you this message because i believe you could understand the true potential of such a project and help me spread it in the medical world.
I will be attending your conference in two weeks and i would like to meet you to explain in further details my project and how it could change a lot of things in the medical world.

Vous avez dans le passé entendu parler d’une plateforme nommé TheAderal. Si vous ne vous en souvenez pas voici un petit récapitulatif. Ce qui a commencé comme une plateforme de libre accès scientifique est maintenant un réseau social medical. Ce projet a deux facettes: une encyclopédique et une social. Le coté encyclopédique a pour but de rendre l’information médicale accessible a tous les niveaux de savoir et dans le future pourquoi pas à toutes les langues. Le coté social a pour but de connecter les acteurs du monde médicale entre eux a travers leurs histoire ou à travers leurs expérience. Par example nous pensons que personne ne devrait se sentir isolé face à la maladie. Un des enjeux de ce côté social est par example de créer des groupes de soutien émotionnelle pour n’importe quelle maladie. Partager son experience est un concept large mais il est pourtant au centre de notre projet. Que ce soit des patients, des médecins ou des étudiants tous le monde peut en bénéficier. Tous les types de témoignages font avancer le site qu’il s’agit de son experience en tant que patient, de son vécu vis à vis d'une maladie ou d'un handicap mais aussi de l’origine de sa motivation à poursuivre des études de médecine ou encore l’événement qui a le plus marqué votre carrière en tant que professionnel de santé. La crise actuelle met encore plus en lumière le danger de la désinformation mais elle met aussi et surtout en evidence du besoin d'avoir une vrai communauté d’entraide médicale en ligne, un réseau communautaire ou tous le monde à sa place. C’est certainement grâce a votre aide et participation que le projet TheAderal a évolué au fil des années. Avant qu’il révèle son vrai potentiel, la route est encore longue et votre aide toujours aussi essentielle.
