I have used newsprint covering COVID19 not in an obvious way, no dramatic headlines but just to fix the work in time. Picasso and Braque's synthetic Cubist drawings all had news print refs to the run up to the1st WWar even when the subject was cafe life. It kinda adds another level of meaning.
