My parents immigrated from England 27 years ago and the rest of my family still lives there. I was born and raised in the USA, but I still am apart of the English culture because of the way I was raised. I pronounce words differently like pasta, tomato, garage, and vitamin. I also say ta instead of thank you when I speak with my family. We drink Ribena and eat eggs and soldiers, Marmite, and Branston Pickle frequently. I have learned to be very blunt and real because that is a part of the English culture as well, we also don't show much emotion.

Spirituality

I grew up being apart of the Mormon church, but I left the church when I was 16 and found my own beliefs. I practice a lot of spirituality because I meditate, do breathwork, and I practice a lot of Native American traditions. I've also been on a few spiritual retreats and done inner child work and women's retreats. This has become a huge part of my culture because I practice it everyday and it is a new way of life for me. I believe in trusting the universe and asking the universe for all of my needs, I also believe that all of us are connected through divinity.

Nature Lover

I have always loved the outdoors, from a young age I would play outside all day. I love camping in the mountains and going fishing and hunting. My boyfriend recently killed a cow elk and it was an amazing experience. I felt very connected to the earth. I love going hiking and seeing the views, it makes me feel whole. One of my most favorite things about nature is sunsets, they have a very significant meaning to me.

I have always loved reading, it is my way of dealing with stress. I went through a lot of trauma when I was younger, and I would read books as an escape. I still do the same thing today, I read every night before bed. I love reading fantasies and romance books. I honestly don't know what I would do if I couldn't read books, they are a huge part of who I am.

Hockey Fan

I grew up going to Utah Grizzlies hockey games with my family. I went to almost every home game last season and now that we have a new NHL team I'm going to go to a lot of their games. Being a part of the hockey culture is so fun because we are like one big family. I really enjoy supporting the players and getting to know the fans. The fan environment at home games is super cool to be a part of especially getting to be apart of Utah's history with the Utah Hockey Club.
