This was proved when 20% of students wanted to commit suicide because of verbal bullying in 2011. Bullying can affect someone's life.

Did you know that there are different types of bullying? Some of these include Cyberbullying, Physical Bullying, Verbal bullying, and Social bullying. Cyberbullying is online or anonymous bullying. Anon once said,”Cyberbullying is Bullying. Hiding behind a pretty screen, doesn't make it less hateful, written words have power.”This means that even though its online, the problem still is harmful.Physical bullying is hitting or bringing harm to others. Verbal bullying is words that hurt others. Social bullying is spreading rumors that hurts friends and family.

The effects of bullying is horrible. Did you know that there is 1,400,000 failed suicide attempts in 2011. This is happening because adults don't understand. I know this because 75% of students have reported a bully and only 16% of staff believed them. The worst thing is that in 2011, 20% of students thought of suicide.

Rates of bullying vary across studies (from 9% to 98%). A meta-analysis of traditional bullying involvement and 15% for cyberbullying involvement.
Students who bully others are bullied, or witness bullying is more likely to report high levels of suicide-related behavior than students who report no involvement in bullying.

Lastly, the causes of bullying is also a problem. Sometimes, the bully is the bullied. Bullying can be caused by child abuse or parents setting a bad example. 50% of bullies said that they bully because of their parents or home life. Some of the causes of bullying are alcohol, drugs, bad influences, jealousy, and child abuse. For more info, go to https://americanspcc.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Bullying-Causes-of-Courtesy-of-nobullying.pdf

Bullying is bad on both sides. The bully and the bullied. Lady Gaga once said,” There really is no difference between the bully and the victim.” This means that the bully was once a victim of bullying from other kids or even their parents. The world will be better if everyone treated everyone equally. Bullying can cause mental problems or even physical problems to people. When people say that bullying isn't that big of a problem, does that mean that taking someone’s life is no big deal?
