To start the 1920's is more legendary then the 2010's, it has a more important popular events. For example the Harlem renaissance. The Harlem Renaissance was a very important time for african americans. It was a time to show that they were not just uneducated farmers , that can be intelligent talent too. The LGBTO community is important but its normal , the Harlem renaissance wasn't normal , it was amazing time for black culture. The Harlem Renaissance helped redefine how americans viewed african americans and how the world understood African american culture, it marked black society.

Another time that made the 1920's more legendary is the KKK (Ku Klux Klan). They are a secret organization of white protestant americans, mainly in the south, who use violence against black people, jewish people, and minority people. The KKK were responsible for many lawless and violent proceedings. The Charlottesville event was very violent but there was justice for it. The criminals was arrested and caught, the police was good. During the KKK period the police were most likely the KKK or didn't care, so there was no to tell back then.

Last Reason the the 1920's are more legendary is the Prohibition period during the 1920's. During the prohibition period the 18th amendment was ratified to ban the manufacture, transportation and sale of intoxicating liquors ushered.Making a law to stop sales of liquor didn't do much to american society but start more trouble. They now had to worry about places called speakeasies. Illegal drinking spots. The ratification increased the production and sale of liquor which was known as bootlegging. Lastly the ratification caused more crime and gang violence. Mafias and gangs were doing anything to bootleg liquor. The prohibition for marijuana was bad but then again it was normal and been going on for years. Liquor has been here for decades. The prohibition for liquor had mafia massacres, the economy went down and people lost their jobs. Also mafias was corrupting police by brides.
