         <title>Day 1: Ken Shelton: How students are changing the world with technology</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>To be honest, the title alone turned me off.  I get tired of all the technology tools and gadgets.  But that wasn't what the focus was on really.  I think worth watching, and aside from the somewhat boastful section of being a college athlete (at least that's how it felt to me...), there was good info.<br><br>My takeaways:<br>1. Let students conference/argue/justify their grade.  I am planning to do this with my students this semester, so I found that part interesting - I'm up for further discussion with other teachers around this and hope it goes well in a couple weeks.<br>2. A quick check in from students with Google form - everyone has a voice and you get a quick "climate" check of your classroom.<br><br>J.Tipton</div>]]></description>

         <title>Day 6: Tony Vincent: Google Drawing Activities (50 min...ish)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Not a bad video if you are in a classroom where you would use or create graphic organizers, charts, etc.  The big idea is that creating something can be more meaningful to students than just doing worksheets, taking quizzes, etc.  <br><br>The first part of the video includes some basic navigation/manipulation tips for google drawings.  Then most of the remaining  content is centered around ways to create graphic organizers, venn diagrams, charts, etc.  They walk you through how to use colors, transparency, and emphasize the fact that students can turn them in through google classroom.  In turn, you would save time that you would have been spending at the copy machine and grading papers.  <br><br>I may try to integrate some ideas by having my students create a roadmap of the upcoming unit, or maybe at the end as a review, through the use of a google drawing.  Some easy applications for projects that include any statistical information too.<br><br>D. Williams</div>]]></description>
