Stories are important by giving details on what events had happened. For the people who aren't able to see or attend a certain event, they can ask for a story / summery of what it was about or on what they had missed. Stories give a picture to what happened in the past or imagination considering the topic of what its used for. For example, the monkeys on the bed story is told to children at a young age. To give them a listen to go by to be careful.

Its important to reject " single stories" so you don't just block off that other side of the story in order to get the full picture. By Using both sides of the story effectively you can make your decision on whether or not to do what to do with that information. Lets say you were given half an apple. You had asked you mother for a full apple but thats what was given to you. She says " i gave the other half to your sibling, you won't eat a full apple." Having to show that there is another side of story that is also important.

Rather than waiting for others and tagging along. Or having someone else writing their own achievements.
