I think this book is a emotional book because bud been going through things with his parents and he was in a abusive situation with his foster parents. The foster parents will not believe him for things he do. Bud got lock in the shed over night for something he didn't do. I think the most interesting part is how Bud found out the person he thought that was his dad was his grandfather and found out his mother name is Angela Janet Calloway. I will recommend this book to kids because it talk about the struggle how bud went through foster home.   I am choosing the word dusky devastators of the depression because that was bud grandfather band. That how bud found out that that was not his dad it was his grandfather. He got that name off his flyer from out his suitcases from his mother when he was little and after his mother died.
