Part of the task was to give students an opportunity to discuss strategies for conducting group research effectively and how to keep each other accountable. Students used the 55 minutes to explore books, articles, stories from children's perspectives, and websites .  Once students gathered information, they were asked to create 5-7 google slides that highlight important information about their topic. Students will present their projects to the class. Students will reflect how this researched information impacts setting, characters, and their overall comprehension. Then observed a video sample made ahead of time by some peers to have an idea about how to organize their plan. The students had plenty time to plan, compare and re-estructure their ideas.

They were able to finish their discussions and then also talk about the extension questions. I had the time to check over their work and send them back to expand their discussion if need be.
