Students used the 55 minutes to explore books, articles, stories from children's perspectives, and websites . Once students gathered information, they were asked to create 5-7 google slides that highlight important information about their topic. Students will present their projects to the class. Students will reflect how this researched information impacts setting, characters, and their overall comprehension. The 55 minute block was an excellent way for students to delve into the assignment and for us to facilitate the project.

The extra time actually saved me time in the end because it would have needed most of an additional class period to complete this activity.
