Before college, I attended Magazine High School in Arkansas. I loved two main things, yearbook and my show-choir team! I was in show choir for three years and competed nationally with my team in Orlando, Nashville, and Louisville! My yearbook teacher and show choir teacher had a huge impact on my high school years and deeply influenced my love for teaching! I am also a second generation teacher.

Currently I am a student at the University of Arkansas pursuing a degree in Elementary Education! Finding ways to get involved in the community and with students is something that I love doing and has been the most growing for me as someone who will one day be a teacher. I am passionate about reading, writing, music, being creative, and having fun in the classroom! In my free time I enjoy visiting museums, painting pottery, and spending time with my friends.

After I graduate, I plan to teach upper elementary in Northwest Arkansas. One of my core teaching values includes making sure that the classroom is a safe and comfortable environment for students to learn and grow. Instead of being afraid to speak up, I want to help facilitate class discussions where ideas and perspectives can be shared. Another core value of mine is having a personal connection with students and understanding their strengths and weaknesses! The more you understand your students, the better teacher you can be.
